In Second Life, it’s all about textures! Almost anyone can learn to link some prims, make a flexi-skirt or sculpt a shoe, but the creation and use of textures is what separates the sheep from the goats. Some of these Masters of Texture contributed to this mashup outfit today.
The top in this outfit is part of Paper Couture’s Beaded Wildflowers dress. I’m plainly mad for Cora Lu’s work—it honestly makes my mouth water—-but I really have no place to wear the glorious gowns she creates, so I’ve happily resorted to mashups to endulge my passion for her sublime clothing.
The pants are Leezu’s Brit Pants. One only has to look closely at the details in this garment to be stunned by the skill involved.
And the shoes! When I saw the work that Cutea Benelli was doing at Grim Bros, I was flabbergasted, and promptly blew my whole budget. Such texture! Such refinement! Such cleverness! And such good value!
And the detailing on the *GF* Rusty Rose Choker set is boggling (it comes with its own shadows, ffs!), striking just the right mood–subtle, true and honest.
It’s all about the textures, baby! And these creators have it nailed!
